Murgon's Big Night Out to return later this month

GRAHAM House Community Centre will host its second Big Night Out variety show on August 18.

Spokeswoman Iris Ferguson said performance troupe Outtawak would return for the second year.

"We brought them back because the first time we had it last year, at our first annual fundraiser, everyone had such a good time as Outtawak were absolutely hilarious,” she said.

"We heard about people having sore jaws from laughing so much.

"A lot of attendees asked us if we can bring them back. All those that came last time have re-bought tickets for this year. That just shows it's a good show.”

Mrs Ferguson said during the performance Outtawak knocked off other singers and characters.

"Kermit the Frog, Elvis Presley, Chad Morgan, lots of different singers, it's so funny,” she said.

"It's definitely worth it. People have called it the best show they've ever seen and Murgon should have more events like this.”

Mrs Ferguson said the event was the home's only major fundraiser for the year.

"We rely on the community to back us when we have these events so we can do some fund-raising, the profits we make from the events go to the programs we run,” she said.

The show will be performed at the Murgon Town Hall on August 18, with doors opening at 7pm.

Tickets for the event are $50 each, which includes a light snack.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Graham House Community Centre and Community Transport Office.
