Nation's best go head to head

SPEEDWAY: In the sixth edition of the race the Kings Royal has attracted a record number of 76 nominations boasting the best modified sedan drivers in the country.

On the start line is current Australian champion Matty Smith as well as the number two and number three drivers in Australia, Tim Atkin and Nick Cockerill.

The best state driver will also be racing for their chance at victory with Queensland NSW champion Rodney Pammenter lining up alongside the Victorian and South Australian champion Aidan Raymont.

Current Western Australian champion Clint Noakes has travelled across the country for his chance to win $10,000 for line honours.

The Kings Royal is the richest modified sedan race in Australia with $39,100 in prize money to be awarded across the weekend, based on the number of nominations.

Each driver will receive a minimum of $200 in prize money.
