New guest speaker to front Wondai Spring Garden Expo

THE Wondai 2019 Spring Garden Expo committee are excited to be bringing in its brand-new guest speaker Kate Wall to their event on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29.

According to the Wondai Garden Expo president Helen Young, Ms Wall, who is an experienced writer, consultant and educator will be joining their growing list of interesting Garden Speakers.

Ms Young said that Ms Wall also has great skills in designing and maintaining sustainable gardens for the state's ever-changing climate.

"She will help you to identify weeds, manage them and point out useful ones too! As well as lots of other tips and advice,” she said.

Ms Wall's speaking sessions will take place in the large gazebo, during 11am and 1:30pm sessions on Saturday, as well as a last session on Sunday at 10am.

There will also be entertainment from Graham Jensen, performing a selection of country music across the entire weekend.

While you're at the festival, the committee encourage you to take a look at all the wonderful stalls scattered throughout the expo.

However, Ms Young would like to remind people to respect the stallholders by keeping to the 8am gate opening time.

"We want you to be safe as you enter the grounds, and we can't guarantee this while there is still moving traffic,” she said.

"Also, the stallholders need time to complete their displays so that they can then give you their full attention.”

Otherwise, make sure to come along to the Wondai Spring Garden Expo after 8am for only a $5 entry fee per day or an $8 package fee for both days, with children accompanied by adults allowed free entry.
