New manager makes the right move
NEW business manager at a popular South Burnett business is confident he is in the right place after making the interstate move from Wagga.
David Rose moved from Wagga to take up the role as manager at Crowies Paints on Haly St, Kingaroy.
Mr Rose, who has been in the paint industry for 30 years, said he was very happy with his new role and his new home.
"The weather here is great and the people are friendly and really receptive," he said.
"We timed the move very well, there have been some great events on since we moved here."
The passionate manager, who spent many years on the road as a sales rep for a paint company, is excited to be hands-on in his new role.
"This is a chance for me to get back in the store and work closely with people again," he said.
"My goal is to help educate, teach and conduct classes."
Mr Rose said while he has only been in Kingaroy a short time he has already met lots of friendly locals.
"It's not just warm weather but warm people here too," he said.
"Its important to stop and talk to people and the people out here remember your name."
The new manager was excited to get involved in the community and the various community groups.
"It is vital for me to get involved in the region," he said.
"In tough times and good times its important to help each other."
Mr Rose was looking forward to getting outdoors and trying out some of the many quality coffee shops in the South Burnett.
"The next big job is to get a nice bike and head out on to the rail trails," he said.
"I am a bit of a coffee snob, so I'd like to get out and do some sight-seeing and try new cafes."
