New site to offload green waste

KUMBIA residents can offload their green waste at the Kumbia cricket Oval as clean up efforts from Thursday's storm continue.

The transfer station will not be able to handle the predicted amount of green waste coming through, so the alternative site of the Kumbia Cricket Oval has been established by the South Burnett Regional Council.

Council advises residents that they may utilise the Kumbia Cricket Oval, directly opposite the Childcare Centre on Gordon Street Kumbia, to offload green waste items, as per last year's Boxing Day weather event.

The transfer station will continue to be the place to dispose of all household general waste.

If you need specific assistance with special waste items, please contact councils waste department on 4189 9100.
