Brothers Kodi and Jayden Nikorima were the talk of the World Club Challenge series after starring in their club's big wins in England.

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson's response to a British commentator's suggestion Jayden Nikorima was a "superstar" after playing a big part in five of the Roosters' seven tries during their 38-12 win over St Helens at Langtree Park, was simply to smile.

"Let's just call him a good young player," grinned Robinson, after the 19-year-old former Brisbane Bronco slotted into James Maloney's vacant No.6 jumper with ease outside new halfback Jackson Hastings.

The younger of the Nikorima brothers showed great speed off the mark, a good kicking game, awareness and great vision, and plenty of courage after leaving the field early for a mandatory concussion test.

Not to be outdone, his brother Kodi, standing in for suspended halfback Ben Hunt, grabbed two tries of his own and featured in several more as Brisbane thrashed Wigan 42-12 at JB Stadium.

Giant young outside back Corey Oates opened Brisbane's scoring off a neat ball from fullback Darius Boyd, and forward Matt Gillett got across the line courtesy of a lovely Nikorima pass.

Brisbane led 24-6 at halftime, but another try to Oates and a brace to Nikorima quickly put the clash out of Wigan's reach.

Brisbane's tryline defence was again a feature, something that will be crucial in what looms as a tricky opening match of the NRL season against Parramatta on Thursday week.

The World Club Challenge wrapped up early this morning with the Cowboys taking on Super League champion Leeds.
