THE Blackbutt Range is set to re-open to two lanes tomorrow.
After 18 months of single lane traffic motorists can now look forward to two lanes.
The Blackbutt Range was severely damaged during last year's floods where numerous landslips presented a big feat to reconstruct due to geotechnical, design, construction, safety, and environmental elements of the engineering process .
Further temporary single lane closures will be required later in the year.
The highway will return to single lane operations around the clock for at least six weeks in early September, weather permitting, for bitumen and asphalt works.
It is also likely that a temporary closure will be required for further blasting and the community will be advised once this is scheduled.
