'No threat': Police advise escaped juvenile is harmless

POLICE have advised the juvenile who is still on the run after escaping from Murgon court earlier this week is 'not a threat to the community.'

Police are still patrolling and searching for the minor.

This comes after the juvenile fled police custody in Murgon court on Monday, February 18.

Police have not disclosed specific details about the escapee because he is a juvenile.

Police have been doing patrols in the Murgon and Cherbourg area searching for the juvenile in a red singlet and dark shorts.

A police spokesman said there was nothing to indicate the juvenile had left the region.

"Murgon police have an idea of where the prisoner is and are heading out to have a look now," a QPS spokesman said.
