Nomads bikie arrested on drug and burglary offences

A NOMADS gang member has been charged with drug and burglary offences following  a raid on a Moggill house.

Detectives from Task Force Maxima, who  executed a search warrant at the Moggill, Brisbane residence yesterday, said the 24-year-old Moggill man was a confirmed member of the Nomads OMCG .

The detectives located an Audi motor vehicle (believed to have been stolen from a Windsor residence), a quantity of the drug ice and two laptops believed to have been stolen from Hendra and Indooroopilly residences.

Police said the man was charged with two counts of possess dangerous drug and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evade police, unlicensed driving and receiving stolen property. He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court today.

A 22-year-old woman was also located and arrested.

She was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and one count each of possess dangerous drug, possess utensil and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in April.

"This arrest is further evidence of the involvement of OMCG members in a myriad of criminal activities", Acting Detective Inspector Tim Leadbetter of Task Force Maxima said 

"Taskforce Maxima and the Queensland Police Service will continue to target outlaw motorcycle gang members in order to stop crime and make the community safer for all Queenslanders," he said.
