$800m LNG gas pipe to Curtis Island a 'waste'
THE Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis has published a report questioning the "economics and financial footing" of the proposed $800 million North East Gas Interconnector, which would be able to supply gas from the Northern Territory to LNG export projects in Gladstone.

The report's author Bruce Robertson said the northern gas pipeline is predicated on a set of fundamental misunderstandings, "the most glaring of which is the lack of customers".
