One day left to book tickets for Style Under the Stars

IF YOU'RE looking for something special this weekend check out the Style Under the Stars dinner tomorrow.

Tickets are still available for the gala dinner and you have until lunch time to book a table.

The dinner will be held at the vintage Machinery Clubhouse within the grounds of the Kingaroy Airport.

Dianne Hannant is organiser of the event and said it was a great chance to catch up with friends and enjoy good food.

Mike Giles, from OMG Catering, will prepare the food.

"He and Lisa are our caterers and they are very excited about what they are going to present as far as food,” Ms Hannant said.

"They're sourcing local products that will be showcased on the night.”

The organisers are breaking with tradition and instead of serving a sit-down dinner the night will consist of a steady supply of canapes and cocktails.

"It's going to be a 1950s glam cocktail evening.”

The headline musical act will be Owen and Sue Ray.

Mr Ray is a well-know performer from Brisbane but his daughter is the true star these days.

She has spent many years touring the United States, writing, recording and performing Americana county, blues and folk tunes.

Ms Ray has collected a swag of awards during her time including QMusic's Female Artist of the Year and the AIR Independent Music Awards Best Country Album.

So don't delay, book your ticket today.
