Opening date for new service station

THE state retail manager for Kingaroy's latest service station has announced when the business doors will be open.

Liberty Oil's Queensland retail manager Russell Reeves has given a rough estimate of when he thinks the Youngman St service station will be open.

"It will probably be early November," he said.

With plenty of tradies and machinery currently on site each day, residents have wondered when we will see an open sign on the doors of the region's newest place to fill up.

Mr Reeves said while this was just a guess, he didn't think it would be too far off the mark.

"I haven't seen the site for a few weeks, but early November is what we are aiming for," he said.

South Burnett Regional Council portfolio representative for Property and Planning, Cr Fleischfresser said this was another positive business step for the South Burnett.

"This is great news and along with Bunnings now having received their permit to work this is a huge positive for our region," he said.
