Origin dominance not only reason for anti-QLD bias
OKAY, eight Origin series losses in a row can be a lot to take in, but is it really enough to turn a whole competition against the state of Queensland?
Cowboys captain and Toowoomba league export Johnathan Thurston seems to think so.
Thurston went on an extraordinary rant in Brisbane yesterday after the Cowboys heartbreaking and controversial loss to the Sharks.
Speaking to reporters, he was clearly fuming.
His team was on the end of one of the game's great referee howlers the night before with Sharks winger Beau Ryan scoring on what turned out to be the seventh tackle of the set.
Thurston did hold back.
He claimed Queensland's dominance at State of Origin level was leading to retribution in NRL games.

Surely there's more reasons for NSW to envy us?
We do admit eight Origin series losses is a bitter pill to swallow, but just compare the two states. It's little wonder NSW is feeling inferior (and is treating our NRL sides unfairly, according to Johnathan Thurston).
