P-plater allegedly blows 0.313 after crash

POLICE have charged a 29-year old P-plater with high-range drink driving after he allegedly crashed his car and returned a reading of 0.313.

The reading would have been more than six times the legal limit for a driver on an open licence. P-platers are required to have a zero-reading.

The man was charged after a blue Hyundai Accent collided with the metal railing on the Bruxner Highway at Alstonville on Thursday night.

The man was charged with high range PCA and his P1 driver's licence was suspended.

He will face court on December 14.
