YOU probably don't need to be told the obvious... it's pouring on the Sunshine Coast!

While there are no thunderstorm warnings current from the Bureau of Meteorology at this time, the photos snapped by those out and about and posted to social media are enough to tell the story.

The forecast for today predicts an 80% chance of rain on the Coast, most likely in the late morning and afternoon, with the chance of a severe thunderstorm.

Those wanting a glimpse of the Super Hornets fly-over this afternoon are hoping the clouds clear in time.

The planes will leave their base about 2pm and are expected to pass along the Sunshine Coast, just over a kilometre out to sea, between 2.40pm and 3pm.
