"Whilst in hospital, she was escorted to a toilet and was behind a nurse," he said.

Police will allege Ms Clevens stabbed the nurse in her right shoulder, causing bleeding.

Investigators claim the syringe was hidden in Cleven's bra.

"It was confirmed that the defendant had Hep C," Sgt Stevens said.

She will be remanded in custody at Murgon until January 22.
