IT'S one of the biggest sporting events on the Warwick calendar and for those wanting to get their names down to participate in 2018, the wait is over.

From now, registrations are open for the 2018 Pentathrun and there's some exciting news about the coming event.

Organisers have announced race 2 now has a new sponsor and will now be held at the YMCA Leslie Dam.

Event fees are the same as last year and anyone wishing to do see can register right here.

The 2018 event will be held in and around Warwick on May 19 and 20.

As usual there will be prizes given away all weekend and gifts given to those who run in all five races.

Pentathrun secretary Kerri Roberton said the race injected a great contribution back into the local community and sport groups.

"So a massive thank you must go to all the competitors for keeping our little town happy," she said.

"We hope that you can bring yourself and others to Warwick and once again, fall in love with our countryside, the courses, the socialising and that Sunday afternoon sense of achievement.

"Please go to our website for more event details:, as there are a few changes for this year.

"Lastly, please follow us on Facebook for all the latest news, giveaways and event information.

We look forward to seeing you in 2018."
