Photography club's appeal to find owners of mystery photos

THE Kingaroy Photographic Club is calling on the community to help find the owners of old South Burnett photos.

Club president Wendy Turner said the photos were negatives from photographer Arthur Hansen.

"They come from the 1960s-1970s when they used to paint photos,” she said.

"They must be someone's family, and if we can get them to their owners that would be great.”

Ms Turner said she believed that in the digital age, printed photographs were more important than ever.

"There is going to be a big hole in history because people have photos from parents and grandparents, and from now people will have photos, but all our photos will be on a phone in sitting cupboard, and no one will be able to access it,” she said.

If you have information about the photographs, call Wendy on 4164 2280.
