THE best-dressed punters at the Burrandowan Picnic Races put on a show at the fashions on the field stage.
For best-dressed couple Courtney Retschlag and Bradley Beutel, taking part was a chance to continue tradition.
"It was a new experience for Brad, but his family has been coming for years so it is a family tradition to come to Burrandowan and we have enjoyed our experience,” Miss Retschlag said.
Matching elements of their outfits and a country wear look made the couple stand out in the field of seven other couples, and the pair embraced the enthusiasm from the crowd.
The atmosphere of the event was the reason they decided to get involved.
"It is a place where young ones can let loose and at the same time during the day it is a great atmosphere for families and is lovely all round,” Miss Retschlag said.
