Pick up a racquet and get on court

EACH year the Australian Open captures the nation and inspires the next generation to pick up a racquet and take to the court.

In the South Burnett, players have the opportunity to get on court this summer and play fixtures at the Kingaroy and District Tennis Association.

The club is calling on players to take part in their weekly Thursday night fixtures.

The competitive format will start at 7pm with a muster on January 31 before fixtures start on February 7.

The club has been inundated with nominations for their Tuesday night fixtures with 39 players putting their names forward for the nine team competition.

Reserve players are still required for the season, which will start on February 5.

To nominate for Thursday night fixtures call Julie on 0468 598 038 and to nominate for Tuesday night call Errol on 4162 2178.
