Plumes of smoke from fire near Kingaroy centre
A BRIGHT glow can be seen across parts of Kingaroy tonight as a vegetation fire burns just outside town, near Swickers.
According to the Rural Fire Service's current incidents map, the fire is affecting the areas around Clark and Swendson Rd and Keith Shaw Dr.
The information indicates the fire was reported at 3.26pm and at least one unit is on the scene.
Smoke may affect nearby residents and the glow can be seen from Apex Park.

For residents in the affected area, it is recommended to close doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition.
Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.
