Police appeal for information about stolen garbage truck

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to find a garbage truck stolen from Brisbane City, which is believed to have been taken to the South Burnett.

The council truck was allegedly taken by two people from outside the Roma Street Transit Centre about 3.15am on Sunday, August 11 while the driver was conducting duties, collecting a bin.

A debit card inside the vehicle was used a short time later in Cleveland.

Police believe the vehicle may have since been taken to the Benarkin area and are appealing for any local residents who may have seen the truck to come forward.
