Police intercept man suspected of scamming drivers

BREAKING: Police have intercepted a man wanted for questioning over fraud charges in a routine police pull-over on Musgrave St this afternoon.

Initial reports suggest the man has allegedly been waving down cars from the side of the road, falsely claiming he has run out of fuel and asking for money.

Reports of the fraudulent activity have been circulating on social media networks for several days.

Reports indicate the man was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by police.
