UPDATE: Toowoomba police have charged three teenagers with the armed robbery of the Foodworks store in Harlaxton.
Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Paul McCusker said a man, 18, a juvenile male, 16, and a juvenile girl aged 15 were each charged with entering a premises with intent and armed robbery in company arising from the alleged incident at the Harlaxton Foodworks store about 4pm Monday.
Each of the trio is expected to appear before Toowoomba Children's and Magistrates Courts respectively tomorrow.
EARLIER: Detectives are continuing to investigate an armed robbery of the Foodworks in Harlaxton.
Police say around 3.50pm two men, one armed with a knife, entered the premises and confronted a male employee demanding money.
After taking a sum of cash the men fled on foot, last seen heading westbound on Griffiths Street.
One man is described as Caucasian, 18-25 years of age, slim build and 181cm.
The second man is described as Caucasian, 17-21 years, 171cm tall and medium build.
The male attendant was not physically injured during the robbery.
EARLIER: Police are looking for two men who are believed to have robbed a grocery store while armed with a large knife late this afternoon.
The Foodworks store on the corner of Griffiths and Ruthven Sts at Harlaxton was targeted about 4pm.
Unconfirmed reports said the two men were wearing ski masks or similar covering their faces.
Police are carrying out extensive searches in the area with detectives, uniformed officers and the dog squad.
