Police investigate knife attack in Caboolture

POLICE are investigating an unlawful wounding in Caboolture early Tuesday morning.  

Initial inquiries reveal at about 5am a 48-year-old Bongaree man was in Glenwood Drive Morayfield when he was asked by an unknown male to drive him to a Morayfield Road residence.  

The unknown man went into the Morayfield Road residence then returned and got into the back seat of the car.   He then threatened the 48-year-old man with a knife, a struggle ensured and the 48-year-old man received a cut to the hand.  

The 48-year-old man has then ran away and was located a short time later by police.  

A search failed to locate the man with the knife.  

Police have released an image of the man they wish to speak to in relation to this incident.  

He is described as 165cm, solid build, Maori or islander in appearance, 30 to 35 years with short black hair and was wearing a white polo shirt with other colours scattered throughout and a pair of denim shorts.
