Police search for distinctive car after it evades officers

POLICE are searching for a black Holden Commodore with false number plates after it evaded officers on the Western Downs last night.

Dalby police patrolling Nicholson St about 8.10pm spotted the vehicle with a distinctive red stripe on the bumper with false number plates, believed to be stolen.

Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle at which point it refused to pull over and drove away from police.

Police said the car was last seen driving west towards Moonie on the Moonie Hwy.

Anyone with information is urged to contact  Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
