Port powers up for away clash with Bombers

PORT Adelaide has made 11 changes to the squad which lost to Adelaide by 60 points last week for tonight's NAB Challenge encounter with Essendon.

Captain Travis Boak, and his deputy, Brad Ebert, are back, while fellow midfielders Hamish Hartlett and Kane Cornes have also been named in the 29-man squad which will be cut to 26 before the game at Etihad Stadium.

Chad Wingard (pictured), Robbie Gray, Jay Schulz, Justin Westhoff and John Butcher, who gets a chance to prove his worth for first-round selection, will add real firepower to the attack. Matthew Lobbe and Tom Jonas are the other inclusions.

For Essendon, coach Mark Thompson will give his former Geelong star Paul Chapman a run out alongside fellow inclusions captain Jobe Watson, Brendon Goddard, and Dustin Fletcher.

Richmond ruckman Ivan Maric will miss the first few rounds of the season after undergoing ankle surgery yesterday.
