Price point priority: Service your car for cheap

SERVICING your vehicle can be an expensive ordeal, but Kingaroy Brake Radiator and Mechanical have you covered.

Ben Stead, the business' owner and mechanic said that an affordable price point is their priority.

According to Mr Stead, basic car servicing for a 4-cylinder petrol ranges from $180-200, depending on the oil and filter of the vehicle.

"We're on $99 an hour including GST, so you'll find it's a lot cheaper than the dealerships," he said.

As well as their competitive pricing, they also accept work on vintage cars.

"A lot of people won't take their older vehicles to the workshop, because no one wants to touch them, but not us," Mr Stead said.

"We're wanting to bring more old school vehicles into the shop."

Mr Stead said there are a lot of vintage car owners around the South Burnett, and their vehicles need to be serviced too.

"It's understandable for some mechanics to worry about it, as older cars can have worn out parts, but you just have to fix it properly like you would for any other job," he said.

Mr Stead said within the team of mechanics at Kingaroy Brake Radiator and Mechanical, they cover all the sectors a mechanic needs to cover.

"One of our mechanic's nicknames used to be Mr Horsepower, because he used to build a lot of engines. He built an engine for me and it's the best thing I've ever driven," Mr Stead said.

"Our other mechanic is really smart and works with radiators, so we all have our own areas.

"Anyone can come in, and you'll know that one of us will be able to work on the job."
