Proston feels Gayndah quake

GORDON Buchanan thought he was dreaming.

The 87-year-old was visiting his daughter in Proston and felt the house shake at about 6.20am yesterday.

But he thought nothing of it until he picked up a copy of the Central and North Burnett Times today.

It turns out he had felt the 3.5-magnitude earthquake which struck just south of Gayndah at 6.17am.

"It felt like a semi-trailer going by," he said.

"It lasted about 10 seconds but the house just shook.

"My daughter thought I was dreaming."
