Public meetings for proposed Kingaroy coal mine

MORETON Resources CEO Jason Elks will hold public meetings in Blackbutt and Wondai this week on the proposed Kingaroy coal mine.

Mr Elks said the meetings were a chance for him to give an overview on the project to anyone that is curious.

"We are spending an hour or so to give a brief overview and get some feedback," Mr Elks said.

"People can ask us questions, it's very interactive."

He said Moreton will do more public meetings in the South Burnett over the next eight weeks.

When and where

  • Blackbutt: Today at Blackbutt Community Hall at 1pm - 3pm and 5.30pm 7.30pm.
  • Wondai: Thursday at The Wondai Hotel at 6.00pm - 7.30pm.
