'White Widow' a poet who wants to look like Taylor Swift
SAMANTHA Lewthwaite, elusive fugitive, dedicated fighter, mother and jihadist, has been revealed as a poet who wants to look like the singer Taylor Swift.
The "White Widow", supposedly the terror of east Africa, wrote an ode to Osama bin Laden during her life on the run.
The verse is littered with misspellings and a cavalier attitude to grammar, but there can be no doubt about the strength of her adoration for the al-Qa'ida founder, bewailing his death and vowing revenge on unbelievers.
"Oh sheik osama my father, my brother. My love for you is like no other. Oh Sheik Osama now that you are gone/ The muslims must wake up they must be strong," she writes.
The 34 lines were found by police on a computer belonging to Lewthwaite along with a flash drive which showed she had spent eight years researching bomb-making.
Sky News, investigating Lewthwaite, who had been married to 7/7 suicide bomber Germaine Lindsay, unearthed evidence that she was present in Nairobi at the time of the attack by the Somali Islamist group al-Shabab. She had been living in a flat overlooking the Westgate mall where 67 died.
Lewthwaite had rented the apartment in the name of Nathalie Faye Webb, a South African national.
It has emerged that she had googled numerous dieting, fitness and workout sites as well as makeover demonstrations on having hair like the singer Taylor Swift.
