Queensland and Australian titles decided

SPEEDWAY: Queensland's best production sedan drivers went head to head at the Kingaroy speedway on Saturday night with the state title on the line.

The title was decided over 40 continuous laps in the A main which saw Chris Pagel and Tim Atkin racing side by side.

Pagel of Gympie crossed the line in first to be named Queensland champion ahead of Atkin and Steve Jordan in third.

Australia's top compact speedcar drivers left it all out on the track vying for the national title.

Tim Farrell was named Australian champion ahead of Glenn Wright and Richard Treanor.

The street stocks support class was won by Travis Hutchison with Ashley Barron in second and Robert Trapp rounding out the podium.
