Queensland isn't sold on video game legislation
AS of January 1 new computer classification legislation started - except for Queensland.
Across Australia R18 + will be the highest classification for certain computer games.
Gametraders owner Oz Prosser, who has been in the computer games industry since she was 17, believes the Queensland Parliament won't pass the R+ 18 category for computer games.
"It is taking such a long time and every other state was very quick to sign off on it, Queensland is still deciding," Ms Prosser said.
"I hope they do. As a parent and someone who has been around the industry for a long time I would like to see a lot of games that are MA 15 + go to R18+ because it would make parents think twice before buying them for their kids," she said.
