Queensland's best riders rev up for state titles in Kingaroy

MOTORSPORT: The state's best junior riders will take to the speedway track at Kingaroy Showground this weekend with the Queensland title on the line.

It will be the second consecutive year the Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club has hosted the Under-16 125cc Solo and Best Pairs Queensland State Titles, an honour for the club that reformed in 2014.

The titles will be contested on Saturday and 12 riders will line up at the starting line for the solo race at 10.30am.

Competitors will then join forces in six teams for the pairs event at 2pm.

Kingaroy's Cordell Rogerson took out the titles last year but is now too old for the division.

Maurice Brown, James Pearson and Flynn Nichol who finished in second, third and fourth place respectively last year will be returning to compete for the solo title.

Between events, five pee wee riders will take the track as the support class to the main event.
