Rail trail community discussions happening all week

PUBLIC consultation has opened up this week about turning the old rail line from Kingaroy to Murgon into a trail.

The project is in its early stages and South Burnett Regional Council, as well as trail consultant Mike Halliburton are hosting a number of 'open houses', along where the proposed trail will be.

Members of the community can come and discuss what they think should be done with the trail.

The council said information gathered at the open houses will help decide how the rail trail goes ahead.

Details about the costs for surfaces and crossings will be available at the open houses.

For more information about the project phone Jamie Sadlier on 4189 9151.
