Record-breaking Rabada rips through Bangladesh

SOUTH Africa has wrapped up a comprehensive innings and 254-run victory over Bangladesh with young fast bowler Kagiso Rabada claiming his 100th Test victim in another five-wicket haul.

The 22-year-old, who grabbed five wickets in the first innings at Mangaung Oval, in Bloemfontein, finished with match figures of 10-63.

At 22 years and 136 days, Rabada is now the third-youngest quick to ever take 100 Test wickets, behind Pakistan's Waqar Younis (21 years and 50 days) and India's Kapil Dev (21 years and 25 days).

Among all bowlers, Rabada is fifth, with New Zealand's Daniel Vettori second (21 years and 46 days) sandwiched between Kapil and Waqar, and Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh fourth (21 years and 319 days).

Bangladesh was dismissed for 147 in their first innings in reply to South Africa's mammoth 4-573 declared and following on was out for 172 in the second innings.

South Africa also won the first of the two-match series with a 333-run victory at Potchefstroom.

South Africa and Bangladesh will now play three one-day internationals and two Twenty20s.
