Record numbers expected for Cherbourg Fun Run

THE Ration Shed Reconciliation Fun Run is expected to draw a record crowd this Sunday.

The organisers of the Cherbourg event are hoping to improve on last year's attendance of 423 registered runners.

Event co-ordinator Robyn Hallewell said the entry forms were coming in thick and fast.

"We already have 200 entries,” she said.

"We'd love to get over 500 participants on the day.”

The Ration Shed Fun Run will be held on Sunday, May 19.

You can get involved in either the 3km or 7km fun run or walk.

There will be prizes and medals for winners and place-getters and plenty of random draw prizes.

Join in the celebrations at the post-race festival, where there will be entertainment, market stalls and food outlets.

The road from Cherbourg to Murgon will be closed from 8-10am on the day of the race.

Free shuttle buses will be running from Cherbourg to Murgon from 11am-1pm every 30 minutes.

For more information contact Robyn Hallewell on 0423 222 559.
