Graham confident new pairing will deliver for Reds

RUGBY: In a move not often sighted at the Reds this season, coach Richard Graham has made just one change to his team ahead of tomorrow night's clash against the Rebels in Melbourne.

That was because the Reds enjoyed a rare victory in their last game - a 38-31 win over the Highlanders - before the international representative break.

Nick Frisby was named at halfback in place of the injured Will Genia, who is out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season after ankle surgery last week.

With fly-half Quade Cooper (shoulder) also sidelined for the remainder of the season, Frisby will partner Reds' utility Ben Lucas - who started at five-eighth against the Highlanders - in the halves.

While the team will be without the familiar partnership of Genia and Cooper, Graham said he was confident the new pairing would deliver.

Anthony Fainga'a will take over from Genia as Reds vice-captain.

Meanwhile, the Brumbies are viewing their top-of-the Australian conference clash against the Waratahs at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night as their biggest of the season.

The runners-up from last weekend's inaugural World Club 10s in Singapore are desperate for a victory - a win by the Waratahs would almost certainly wrap up top spot in the Australian conference.

Waratahs prop Benn Robinson will earn his 130th NSW cap in the match, joining fellow NSW legend Al Baxter as the state's second most-capped player.

Former captain Phil Waugh leads the way on 136.
