Region receives decent downpour at last
IT MIGHT not have been the severe thunderstorm experts were predicting, but today's rainfall forecast will have the South Burnett community breathing a sigh of relief.
Kingaroy received just over 10mm since 9am this morning, December 4, according to the Bureau of Meteorology website.
A total of 135 Ergon Energy customers across the South Burnett are still without power after weather related problems caused power outages to occur in Booie, Crawford, Kingaroy, Elgin Vale and Nanango.
Earlier today almost 2000 customers were without power, but the majority of issues have since been resolved.
Ergon Energy has stated the loss of supply is due to damage requiring emergency repairs and fault finding is in progress.
Crews are currently working on site to resolve the outages.
If you are currently experiencing a fault with your electricity contact Ergon Energy's 24 hour fault line on 13 22 96.
