RESULTS: 64 tee off for veterans golf

GRAHAM Bickerton has proved himself as one of the South Burnett's best veteran golfers.

Bickerton was the overall winner, in a field of 64 golfers, of the South Burnett Veteran Golf Club's competition at Murgon on February 5.

Finishing on 45 points, Bickerton was also the men's monthly medal division one winner on the Murgon golf course.

Ray Szylejko was the runner-up with 39 points on countback from L. Worth followed by Mel Derby and Barry Dronysius each on 37. 

Gordon Watt was the winner of division two with 41 points.

Rob Unverzart was the runner-up on 40 followed by Ray Murray, Ray Forster and Andy McInnes.

Ladies' winner Trish Trevor was the best placed lady, finishing on 34 points.

Ros Weather was the runner-up on 33 followed by Leanne Dowdle, Val Gilroy and Dot Graham.

The nearest to pin for the men was David Cass and L O'Byrne was the ladies' nearest to pin winner.

Lyn Rycroft took home the NAGA trophy.

On February 12 the veterans will tee off in Kingaroy.
