RESULTS: South Burnett Vets in Kumbia

GOLF: South Burnett Vets Golf Club held its competition at Kumbia Golf Club this week.

Aida Lavings was the ladies' winner with 39 points on Tuesday, May 21.

She was followed by runner-up Ruth Sargent with 36 points, Wendy Harris with 32 points, Ros Weathers with 31 points and Lorraine Kerrin with 30 points.

Dennis Byrne took out the crown by topping the men's competition with 41 points.

Tim Sullivan was the runner-up with 37 points. He was followed by Gary Carter (37), Mark Hooley (37), Wayne Buckle (36), Jim Duff (35), Dean Pilgrim (35), Ray Murray (35), Ken Sargent (35), Catch Catchpole (35), Rob Dugdell (35), Rod Allen (34) and John Porter (34).

The nearest pins in the ladies' competition were Aida Lavings with No.14 and Vicki Ryke with 15.

The men's pins winners were Tim Sullivan with No.4 and John Wilson with 15.

All in six was Rob Degdell.

The prestigious NAGA trophy was won by young and upcoming talented player J. Woodward.

Next week's game will be a 4BBB and will be held at Murgon Golf Club from 8.45am.

The 20 members representing South Burnett Masters will travel to Gympie to play against the Sunshine Coast team from 10am.
