Revamped Nanango Show boasts exciting new attractions
NANANGO is set to host its biggest and best show yet this weekend.
The Nanango Show Society will hold its 109th annual show, packed full of entertainment for all ages, including new attractions, on Saturday, April 28.
"We are excited to be the first country show society to host harness racing in a number of years and have received a lot of positive support to this event,” a committee representative said.
The committee has recognised the need for the event to be relevant for showgoers and has made the transformation to a one-day show full of agricultural, community and entertainment features.
The show will officially open at 2pm, however the favourite chainsaw events will start from 11am.
Nanango Show will continue to display the traditional events such as the rodeo from 4pm, livestock events, trade displays and junior judges competitions.
The show will also display other attractions for 2018, such as the Mini Trots, dirt bike derby and a baby animal farm.
There will be three rounds of wrestling throughout the day and the show will be completed with fireworks from 8.30pm.
There will also be live music and entertainment, as well as food stalls and a bar and barbecue at the show.
Admission prices are $15 for adults and $10 for those on an aged or disability pension card.
The children's admission price is $10 for those aged 14 and older, with entry free for children under 14 accompanied by a paying adult.
