Revealed: Queensland's 10 busiest shopping centres
SUNSHINE Plaza in Maroochydore and Caneland Central in Mackay have been revealed as two of the ten busiest shopping centres in Queensland.
The latest findings from Roy Morgan Research found the Sunshine Coast centre and the Mackay shopping mecca - which are both owned by Lendlease - were respectively the seventh and eighth busiest malls in the state.

The study also revealed the Mackay centre was most likely to be frequented by families while its Sunshine Coast counterpart relied largely on retirees to bring in the bucks.
The rest of the top ten centres were all located in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast with Westfield Chermside in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs taking out the title of the state's busiest shopping centre.

In an average month 3.6 million Queenslanders buy something at a mall - meaning more than half the people in the state visit a shopping centre twelve times a year.
And each month 167,000 people visit the Sunshine Coast centre while 165,000 people go to Caneland Central - according to the data.
