Road conditions to change as upgrades continue
THE SOUTH Burnett Regional Council has advised motorists to take notice of roadwork signage as the gravel resheeting program continues.
During October, the Wooden Hut Rd at Inverlaw, Wattle Grove Rd at Benair, McCauley Broom Rd at Barker Creek Flat and Gayndah Hivesville Rd at Hivesville will be worked on.
The upgrades were funded through the Queensland Government’s 2019—2021 Works for Queensland Program.
The primary objective of the program was to support eligible councils that undertake job-creating and/or job-sustaining maintenance and minor infrastructure projects relating to assets owned or controlled by councils.
The work areas will be controlled by signage or traffic controllers as required to ensure a safe work environment.
Access to properties within the work area will be permitted and motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, drive to the road conditions and signage.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during this period.
