WATCH: Paramedics on scene at Durong fatal

UPDATE 9PM, SATURDAY:

A YOUNG woman has died after a horror rollover in Durong that hospitalised four others.

Initial investigations revealed the car was travelling west towards Chinchilla just after 2pm when it rolled along the rural road.

The car rolled and burst into flames, causing an area of roadside bush land to catch fire when the driver reportedly swerved to avoid a kangaroo.

The 26-year-old Loganlea woman, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two helicopters were tasked to the scene and airlifted the driver, a 25-year-old Loganlea man, to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition suffering serious burns and a four-year-old boy was airlifted to the Queensland Children's Hospital, also in a critical condition.

A two-year-old boy and a one-year-old boy were both transported to Kingaroy Hospital as a precaution.

The crash ignited a grass fire, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman confirmed "at least six fire crews" attended to extinguish the flames.

"The call came in at 2.03pm, with a combination of Rural Fire Service brigades and urban crews responding," she said.

EARLIER 5.30PM:

THREE children and a man have been taken to hospital in serious conditions following a single vehicle roll-over on Chinchilla Wondai Rd this afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the car allegedly caught fire near Durong at about 2pm.

A man in his 20s was transported to Brisbane by chopper after sustaining serious burns while a primary school aged boy was taken to hospital in a separate chopper with serious head injuries.

Two boys, who are toddlers, sustained head injuries and were taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It is believed the other occupant of the car has died after sustaining critical injuries and not being transported
