Rotary continues support for mental health awareness
The main message of Mental Health Week this month was "Staying healthy means looking after yourself" and Rotary Kingaroy wants to help us all do that.
One of the simplest ways to stay active and healthy is simply to go for a walk in the fresh air.
It's great for our physical health and also for our mental health.
So everyone is invited to join members of the Rotary Club of Kingaroy for a "Walk for Mental Health" on Sunday morning 30 October at 7.30 am.
Funds will be raised for the continuing research into rural and regional mental health which Australian Rotary Health supports with grants of about $70,000 every year.
We will walk from the Bob Jane car park at the corner of Bunya Hwy and Stephenson Street to the TAFE College and back.
This is a safe and easy walk along the footpath and water and a famous Rotary sausage snack after the walk are included in the entry fee of $15 per adult, $5 for children and $30 for a family.
Bring the kids, the dog, or a friend who might need a bit of cheering up and join Kingaroy Rotary Club members for a "Walk for Mental Health".
