
Savage lightning storm lights up Sunshine Coast
THE Sunshine Coast was treated to a spectacular lightning display overnight as severe storms slammed into most parts of the region.
The storms built up across the afternoon and started arriving about 5.20pm, first touching down in the northern parts of the Coast, dumping 65mm on Tewantin.

Southern parts of the Sunshine Coast were next to cop it with wild thunderstorms bringing an intense display of lightning to Caloundra and Beerwah about 8.30pm.
The storms hit Maroochydore and Buderim about 9pm.
