SCHOOLS RANKED: OP scores for South Burnett schools
KINGAROY State High School is the best school in the South Burnett and one of the top 100 schools in Queensland.
This is according to the 2018 Year 12 Outcomes report, released by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority, containing comprehensive results for every high school.
Last year more than 25,000 Queensland students obtained an Overall Position (OP) ranking, with 733 students receiving an OP1.
Of Kingaroy State High's 60 students, 42.86 per cent of the cohort received an OP, with 14 earning a score from one to five.
Kingaroy earned its rank of 94 for having 23.33 per cent of its OP students score from one to five.
Nanango State High School was the second best performing South Burnett high school, ranking 214 of 378 Queensland schools.
Four of the 27 students who received an OP achieved a score from one to five. This is 14.81 per cent of OP students.
Saint Mary's Catholic College had the highest percentage of its Year 12 cohort receive an OP score at 55 per cent.
Of the 25 students three scored an OP from one to five earning the school a rank of 270.
Murgon State High School is the lowest ranked school in the region coming in at 276.
Two of the school's 17 OP eligible students achieved an OP from one to five, 11.76 per cent of OP eligible students.
At Murgon 33.33 per cent of Year 12 students received an OP.
