See who won the 2018 Toy Run's 'best bike' award
For the 2018 'Basket of Hope' Toy Run, motorists decorated their bikes in hopes to win the 'best bike' competition.
The prize was a $100 voucher to Kerrie B's Motor Bikes, and Joe Hanssen took the win.
"I'm a bit honoured to be given the best bike award, but really, the decorating was all for the kids. It's an honour to simply help bring a few toys over, and it's a day out on the bikes for a ride as well,” he said.
"So many people came from all kinds of places across the state, so it really shows how much people care about the cause and event.”
Mr Hanssen travelled hours to be a part of this year's local Toy Run event.
"We're from Caboolture, and so we travelled a bit of a distance to get here, but it's worth it, and we love the ride,” he said.
"My friend told me about the Toy Run here in the South Burnett. We used to do the Sunshine Coast one, but we find this is a better one to do. It's such a great community event in the area, too. Everyone puts in so much effort here.”
Mr Hanssen was proud of the event's outcome and wants to help make the South Burnett's Toy Run grow even larger.
"I think the result has been great today, and I can't see why it can't get bigger every year,” he said.
"I've got a business in Caboolture, so I might try and push it a bit where I can, and hopefully there will be even more bikers show up for next year. I'd really like more people to come to this.”
