Seven charged after out of control party in Kingston

POLICE have charged seven people after an alleged out of control party in Kingston last night.

Around 6.30pm police attended the Anchusa Street residence after receiving several noise complaints.

Upon arrival police observed hundreds of people in attendance, a DJ playing loud music and alcohol allegedly being served to minors. Under the out of control event legislation police took action to shut the party down.

Once the party was disbanded, a large group of people made their way to the Kingston Railway station where police will allege a number of small disturbances occurred, including rocks and bottles being thrown.

Three people received minor injuries as a result and were treated at the scene. There was no damage to property.

Seven males between the ages of 15 - 21 were charged for a range of offences including public nuisance, possess dangerous drug, obstruct police and contravene directions.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
